Commander Arthur Cyril Allen (2 July, 1892 – 24 December, 1938) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Robert Allen, Esq., gentleman.

Allen was promoted to the rank of Acting Sub-Lieutenant on 15 September, 1912.[1]

Allen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 March, 1915.

Allen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 March, 1923.

Allen was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1928.

After serving in ships such as Courageous, Hood and Cardiff, as well as some service with a committee of the League of Nations, Allen was placed on the Retired List at his own request upon his relief, on 17 September, 1937.
