Chief Boatswain George Harris, R.N. ( – 2 September, 1923) served in the Royal Navy.

Apparently, there is another George Harris who was a gunner. We need to find his service record.

Life & Career

Harris was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 12 May, 1880.

He was pensioned at his own request on 6 February, 1899.

On 17 January, 1910, Harris was appointed Gunner in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 89.[1] This seems to be the GUNNER named George Harris.

Harris was appointed as Gunner in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 80 on 13 June, 1912.[2] This seems to be the GUNNER named George Harris.

Harris was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Chief Boatswain on 27 May, 1916.
