Lieutenant Angel Hope Freeman, R.N. (18 March, 1864 – 12 April, 1899) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Freeman distinguished himself by finishing first of forty-eight entrants to H.M.S. Britannia of July, 1877.

Freeman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 January, 1887.

Freeman was appointed to Tauranga for gunnery in 1897 and was killed while serving in her on 12 April, 1899 in an engagement "with rebels".
