H.M.S. Brilliant was one of 21 Apollo class second-class cruisers completed in the early to mid 1890s.
Service
In 1910, despite her advanced age, Brilliant was the best gunnery ship of the three tested in the Fourth Cruiser Squadron, scoring 52.52, compared to the average 41.888.[7]
