Jump to navigationJump to searchCaptain Edwin Harold Edwards, D.S.O., Royal Navy (7 December, 1871 – 20 October, 1933) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
On 21 July, 1892 he was confirmed in the rank of Sub-Lieutenant, dated 14 December, 1890. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1893.
Edwards was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1904. He was placed on the Retired List "at his own request" on 12 April, 1911 and allowed to assume the rank of Captain.
He was appointed a Companion of Distinguished Service Order on 23 May, 1917. He was appointed to the destroyer Boadicea in November, 1917.[1]
Married to Elizabeth, he passed away in a London nursing home on 20 October, 1933 and was buried at Chieveley on 23 October.
