Lieutenant General Arthur MacArthur, Jr., U.S. Army (2 June, 1845 – 5 September, 1912) served in the United States Army.
There seems to be considerable confusion, even in primary sources between this man and his son, Arthur MacArthur III.
Life & Career
He became the military Governor-General of the American-occupied Philippines in 1900, his time in the office lasting just one year.
