Rear-Admiral Charles John Graves-Sawle, Fourth Baronet, Royal Navy, Retired (28 April, 1951 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 April, 1876.[1]
He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1890.[2]
Graves-Sawle was promoted to Captain on 31 December 1896.[3]
He assumed command of the destroyer Crescent in May 1899.
In May 1900, he was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Bonaventure.
He was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Aboukir on 3 April, 1902.[4]
Graves-Sawle was placed on the Retired List due to age on 28 April, 1906 and advanced to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 26 January, 1907.[5]
