Commander-in-Chief, Grand Fleet

The Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Fleet was the Royal Navy officer in command of Britain's largest and most important naval fleet during the First World War. Only two men held the position; Admiral Sir John Jellicoe and Admiral of the Fleet Sir David Beatty.
