H.M.S. Venomous (originally named H.M.S. Venom) was one of fifteen destroyers of the Modified "W" class.
Service
Venomous was commissioned on 28 April, 1919.[7] Another source gives 24 August, 1919.[8]
She was re-commissioned at Chatham on 8 October, 1923. By March 1925, she was part of Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[9]
She re-commissioned at Chatham on 30 April 1926 to serve with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]
She was re-commissioned on 21 August, 1928.[11]
Reduced to Maintenance Reserve on 10 July, 1930, and would remain so until at least mid 1937.[12]
