Jump to navigationJump to searchVice-Admiral Jocelyn Stuart Cambridge Salter, O.B.E., D.S.O.*, C.B. (24 November, 1901 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Salter was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1923.[1]
Salter was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1931.[2]
Salter was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1937.[3]
World War II
Salter was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1942.[4]
Salter was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1952.[5]
Salter was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 16 December, 1954. He retired on 3 December, 1957.[6]
