Captain R.N.R. (retired) Guy Sully Owen, R.D., R.N.R. (6 November, 1878 – 18 January, 1962) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Owen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 18 October, 1909.[1]

Owen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 18 October, 1917.[2]

He was appointed in command of the [illeg] II from 6 May 1918.

Owen was appointed in command of the patrol boat PC 69 on 19 July, 1918.[3] He would receive an expression of the Admiralty's appreciation in connection with his attacks on an enemy submarine on 16/17 August, 1918.[4]

Owen was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 31 December, 1921.[5]

Owen was promoted to the rank of Captain R.N.R. on 6 November, 1928.[6]
