Douglas Lionel Dent

Admiral Douglas Lionel Dent, C.B., C.M.G., Royal Navy, Retired (7 August, 1869 – 11 July, 1959) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Dent was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1901.[1]

On 30 June, 1908, Dent was promoted to the rank of Captain.[2]

Dent was appointed Director of Naval Equipment in succession to Rear-Admiral Edward F. Bruen, dated 2 May, 1922.[3]

He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 27 February, 1929.[4]
