Admiral Vivian Henry Gerald Bernard, C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (30 August, 1868 – 18 February, 1934) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Bernard's promotion to the rank of Lieutenant was dated 25 February, 1889.[1]
On 3 July, 1917, Bernard was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to King George V, vice Hunt.[2] On 20 September he was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral, vice Harbord.[3]
On 27 November, Bernard hoisted his flag in the surveying vessel Research as Senior Naval Officer and Rear-Admiral of the Dockyard at Portland.[4]
