On 14 January, 1902, Captain Charles H. Adair succeeded Campbell.[1]

On 8 February, 1905, Captain Henry M. T. Tudor was appointed to the gunnery school.[2] On 2 July, 1906, Captain Arthur A. C. Galloway was appointed commanding officer.[3] Captain Charles H. Coke was appointed in command on 14 January, 1907,[4] after Galloway was appointed to Portsmouth Royal Naval Barracks.[5] Sheerness Gunnery School was transferred to Chatham on 1 July, 1908. The final parade was held on 26 June, with Rear-Admiral Coke and the Staff Officers present. On the officers and men leaving the drill ground for the last time, the Gunnery School Band played "Auld Lang Syne".[6]
