Life & Career
As a Commander, Garnett was appointed in command of the destroyer Foresight on 14 June, 1912.[1]
Garnett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1914.
He was placed in command of the monitor H.M.S. Roberts in May 1915.[2] In June 1916, he relieved Henry Tritton Buller in command of the second class protected cruiser Highflyer.[3]
He assumed command of the armoured cruiser Carnarvon in January 1921.[4]
