Rear-Admiral Alvin Coote Corry, Royal Navy (23 October, 1849 – 25 January, 1907) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 5 February, 1872, Corry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 29 December, 1871.[1]

Corry was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1882.[2]

Corry was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1890.[3]

He was appointed in command of the battleship Hood on 9 December, 1898.[Citation needed]

Corry was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to King Edward VII on 23 July, 1901, vice Curzon-Howe.[4]

Flag Rank

Corry was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 31 August, 1903.[5]

Corry was appointed Admiral Superintendent of Chatham Dockyard on 2 September, 1905.[6]
