Commander (retired) Colin Rose St. George Tucker, (3 September, 1885 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Tucker's Service Record contains a considerable number of health-related events. He cannot have been a man of hale spirit.

Tucker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on the Supplementary List on 1 April, 1913.[1]

Tucker was to be placed in command of Carnation on 1 April, 1919, but this was cancelled and he was sent to Blenheim briefly before being appointed in command of the destroyer H.M.S. Nymphe, temporarily.[2]

Tucker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1921.[3]

In command of the fishery protection trawler Dee from 14 October 1921 to 12 November, 1921.

Tucker was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander (retired) on 1 March, 1929.[4]

In late August 1937, he was appointed for for instruction in boom defence at Rosyth and then was placed in charge of the Boom Defence in Singapore on 4 December. In January, 1941, he was granted the acting rank of Commander while holding that appointment.
