Captain (retired) Henry Steuart Macnaghten Harrison-Wallace (1 July, 1883 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

His name is variously spelled. Sometimes it is "Stewart", and sometimes "Macnaughton", with capitalization within that second name also varying (of course). His last name was simply "Harrison" until being changed to "Harrison-Wallace" in May 1910.

Life & Career

In November 1902, he was allowed two months to proceed to Jamaica to visit his ill father. On 26 November 1903, he was confined to bed, suffering from catarrhal jaundice. He was found fit on 17 February 1904.[1]

Harrison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1904.[2]

In June 1910, a cable accident aboard Majestic led to the death of an A.B.. The Admiralty informed Harrison-Wallace that he should have exercised more precaution and supervision.[3]

Harrison-Wallace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1912.[4]

Harrison-Wallace was appointed to the battleship Emperor of India on 26 March, 1914. On 12 October 1914 he was re-appointed to the ship as gunnery officer. He remained in the ship until September, 1917, being promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1916.[5]

Harrison-Wallace was appointed to light cruiser Caledon in September 1917 and was in temporary command of the from September, 1918 through 22 March, 1919.

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 10 July, 1928.
