Commander (retired) Hilary Poland Mead, R.N. (10 July, 1888 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy. He would specialise in wireless telegraphy.
Life & Career
Born in Dulwich.
Mead was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 July, 1909.
Mead was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 1 in on 13 October, 1914.[1]
Mead was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 July, 1917.
Mead was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 22 June, 1929.
