Rear-Admiral William Sefton Bowman, R.N., Retired (2 September, 1863 – 30 July, 1921) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Reverend C. H. Bowman was born in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia.
Bowman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on December, 1886.
Bowman was promoted to the rank of Commander on December, 1900.
Appointed in command of the composite paddle vessel Sphinx on 14 October, 1904. Superseded on 2 July, 1907.
Bowman was promoted to the rank of Captain on June, 1907.
Retired unfit on 9 March 1911.
Bowman was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 October, 1918.
