Captain (retired) Alfred Geoffrey Peace, D.S.O., R.N. (7 August, 1885 – 18 January, 1940) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Peace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1907.[1]
Peace was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 051 on 21 February, 1910.[2]
Peace was appointed in command of the destroyer Mermaid on 26 March, 1912.[3]
Great War
On September, 1914, he was appointed Lieutenant in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 22.[4]
Peace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1915.[5]
On 4 October, 1916, Peace was appointed in command of the destroyer Ready.[6]
Post-War
Peace was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918.[7]
He was again appointed in command of the destroyer Ready in September, 1919.[8]
In 1926, he was appointed to teach gas and anti-gas schools, being appointed in charge on 16 August, 1926 vice Heath-Caldwell.[9]
Peace was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 7 August, 1931.[10]
