Commander (retired) George Colin Lang, (21 April, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of G. V. Lang, Esq., agent.

Lang was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1914. At the outset of the war, he was in the torpedo gunboat Jason. From January 1915 to February 1917, he was in the battleship Bellerophon.[1]

Lang was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1922.[2]

Lang was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 2 March, 1936. He was diagnosed with sciatica the following year.[3]

World War II

He served on staff of the flag officer in charge, Harwich from late 1942.

Reverted to the Retired List on 30 October 1945.[4]
