Commander (retired) Arthur Gordon Leslie, (31 March, 1883 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of merchant G. J. Leslie.[1]

Leslie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1904.[2]

Leslie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1912.[3]

Leslie was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 31 March, 1926.[4]

World War II

In 1939, he was officer in charge of Portishead Radio Station, also providing censorship oversight.[5]

Suffering from arteriosclerosis, Leslie was reverted to the Retired List as medically unfit on 4 June, 1944.[6]
