Captain (retired) Harold Brisbane Bedwell (20 October, 1879 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Bedwell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1901.[1][2]
He qualified as an Interpreter in French in 1905.[3]
Bedwell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1909.[4]
Bedwell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1914. He served in Minotaur as navigating officer on the China Station from October 1913 through 8 December, 1916.[5]
Bedwell was appointed in command of the third class protected cruiser Proserpine on 18 June, 1918.[6][7]
Bedwell was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 4 July, 1926.[8]
World War II
Various shore-based appointments prior to reverting to the Retired List on 31 December, 1944.[9]
