Commander (retired) Frank John Thring, C.B.E. (11 January, 1857 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Thring was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in February, 1882.
Thring was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 11 January, 1902.
Thring was subsequently promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) in recognition of his wartime service with seniority of 11 November, 1918.
