H.M.S. Arab was one of twenty-four "B" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "30 knotter".

Service

In December, 1905, she was part of the nucleus crew reserve at Devonport.^[9]

In January, 1907, she was in the Destroyer Flotilla based at Devonport, known as the Third Destroyer Flotilla.^[10]

In April, 1910, she was in the Second Destroyer Flotilla.^[11]

In mid-1911, Arab was with the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla, part of the Home Fleet.^[12]

In mid-1913, she was in the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla.^[13]
