Admiral SIR Cyril Thomas Moulden Fuller, K.C.B., Royal Navy (22 May, 1874 – 1 February, 1942) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Fuller was the son of Thomas Fuller, late captain in the 18th Hussars, by his wife, Mary Ada, daughter of Frederick William Fryer, of Clarence House, West Cowes, where the child was born 22 May 1874.
Captain
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1910.[1]
He was appointed to command the heavy cruiser Cumberland on 19 May, 1914.[2]. In November, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Challenger.[3]
In March 1915, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Astræa, staying with her until May 1916.[4]
He was appointed to command the battlecruiser Repulse on 2 August, 1916.[5]
As a Commodore, First Class, Fuller was appointed to command Queen Elizabeth on 1 May, 1920.[6]
Fuller was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to King George V on 25 November, 1920, vice Sinclair.[7]
Fuller was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 19 June, 1921.[8]
He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 8 July, 1926.[9] On the occasion of the King's birthday he was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 4 June, 1928.[10]
On 15 May, 1930, he was promoted to the rank of Admiral, vice Duff.[11]
