Commander R.N.R. (retired) Robert Glen Wardrop, R.D., R.N.R. (24 April, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Wardrop was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 88 on 24 August, 1917.[1]

Wardrop was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 April, 1918. After a half year in command of the trawler J. Robert Davidson, he was demobilised on 8 August 1919.[2]

He received permission to settle in South Africa in 1921 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 April, 1926.[3]

World War II

Service in South Africa and Aultbea. In 1948, he would report that he was a wine[?] farmer in South Africa and hints that he had been promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. at some point.[4]
