Commander Daniel Edwin St. Martin Delius, O.B.E., R.N., Retired (17 April, 1882 – 17 June, 1950) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Delius was born in Manningham, Bradford. His father was Johann D. Delius, Vice-Consul for Norway.

Delius gained five months' time on passing out of Britannia.

Delius was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1903.

Delius was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1911.

Retired at his own request on 31 May, 1912.

Delius was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) for war services on 11 November, 1918.

Delius was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 029 on 31 July, 1914.[1]

Post-War

World War II

Reverted to Retired List on 9 July, 1946.

Reverted to Retired List on 3 November, 1946.
