Rear-Admiral Ernest James Fleet, R.N., Retired (22 September, 1850 – 5 May, 1935) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
In August, 1876 Fleet was severely censured for H.M.S. Antelope going aground.
Fleet was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 10 August, 1877.
Fleet was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1890.
Fleet was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1897.
In April 1902, Fleet reported "no trace" of the missing ship Condor.
Fleet was appointed in command of the battleship Swiftsure in June, 1904.
Retired due to age on 22 September 1905.
Fleet was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 1 June, 1907.
