Commander (retired) Robert Raymond Hallowell-Carew, D.S.O., R.N. (6 September, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Massempore, East Indies.
Hallowell-Carew was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1907.
Hallowell-Carew was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1915.
Hallowell-Carew was appointed to Gibraltar, additional, for command of John Pasco in March, 1920. On 18 May, he was appointed in command of the trawler Battleaxe. She was renamed Dee and became a fishery protection ship before he was superseded in her, perhaps in November, 1921 or on 16 February, 1922.
Placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 16 August, 1923.
Hallowell-Carew was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 6 September, 1924.
