Captain (retired) Oscar Matthew Makins, R.N. (21 September, 1872 – 5 July, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Colonel W. Makins, M.P. gained eight months' time on passing out of Britannia.
Makins was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1893.
Makins was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1905.
Makins was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 31 October, 1911.
Reverted to the Retired List on 31 July 1919.
