S.M.S. Th 2 was a second-class torpedo boat completed for the Imperial German Navy in 1884.
Construction
Ordered as second-class torpedo boat No IV. When the German Navy's naming system for torpedo craft was changed, she was renamed Th 2.[6]
Service
Th 2 was commissioned on 1 August, 1884 for experimental work. Like all second-class torpedo boats she was only marginally seaworthy any sort of rough seas. She was later renamed Seebär and used as a trials vessel for roll gyroscopes. Her further fate is unknown.[7]
