Commander (retired) Albert John Foley (24 December, 1881 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Foley was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 19 October, 1910 and Mate on 3 April, 1914.[1]
Foley served in Avon, Crusader and Larne during the war, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 3 April, 1916.[2]
Foley was appointed in command of the destroyer Usk from November 1918 through 24 February, 1919.[3]
Foley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 3 April, 1924.[4]
In the 1926 view of Captain Round-Turner, Foley "Ha[d] tact; not a striking personality".[5]
Foley was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 24 December, 1926.[6]
