H.M.S. Vulcan was completed as a second-class torpedo boat carrier, but was converted to a submarine depot ship before the Great War.
Service
Vulcan converted to a depot ship in 1908-09.[Citation needed]
She served with the Seventh Submarine Flotilla 1914-16, then for various flotillas at Humber, Berehaven and Blyth.[6]
