H.M.S. E 29 was one of fifty-seven "E" class submarines completed in Britain before and during the Great War.

Service

On 6 May 1918, E 29 torpedoed U 54 at 51deg 9' N., 1deg 48' E., but the torpedo's warhead at best achieved a partial detonation, damaging the enemy's rudder.[6]
