Lieutenant-Commander Peter Keith Wallace, (11 April, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy. One Service Record clearly records his middle name as "Keath".
Life & Career
The son of Major General E. Wallace, C.B., of the Indian Army.
Wallace passed out of the Training Establishment and was appointed to Centurion in September, 1915. He served in her at the Battle of Jutland was noted as being "unobservant" in 1917. On 5 December 1917, he was appointed to the sweeping sloop Amaryllis, in which he served the rest of the war.[1]
Wallace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1920. He was appointed to Dolphin for submarines in September 1920 and served in E 33 and L 18. After this, his submarine service ended, and he reverted to General Service in 1921.[2]
Wallace was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1928.[3]
He was placed on the Retired List at his own request upon his relief on 17 January, 1933.[4]
Wallace was promoted to the rank of Commander on 11 April, 1939.[5]
World War II
Reverted to the Retired List on 28 October, 1950.[6]
