Lieutenant R.N.R. Thomas Andrew Finlay (14 January, 1889 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Finlay was made a Sub-Lieutenant R.N.R. at Portsmouth on 11 August, 1914. He was appointed to second class protected cruiser Hermione from 21 September 1914. Made an acting Lt. on 21 September 1914, he continued to serve in 'Hermione until being placed in command of T.B. 041 on 17 June, 1915.[1]
Finlay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 April, 1916 and was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 23 on 9 May, 1917.[2]
He was demobilised on 27 January, 1919.[3]
