Commander (retired) Frank Gordon Emley, (12 June, 1897 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Emley was the son of architect Frank Emley and was a Special Entry to the Training Establishment in September 1915, passing out on 1 February, 1916 to be placed directly in Monarch.
He fought in her at the Battle of Jutland and left when he was appointed to the convoy sloop Silene on 12 March 1918.
Emley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1919.
Emley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1927.
Emley was placed on the Retird List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 12 June, 1942.
