Commander (retired) Thomas Eric Kirwan Donaldson, (28 May, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Donaldson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 December, 1919.[1]

Donaldson's excellent French skills earned him the Ryder Memorial Prize for 1925.[2]

Suffering from catarrh, Donaldson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 December, 1927 and was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit the next day.[3]

Donaldson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 28 May, 1939.[4]

World War II

A 1 September 1939 shore appointment in Birmingham.[5]
