Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. Edward James Courthope, R.N.R. (15 June, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Courthope received training in paddle minesweepers in December 1915. On 14 March 1916 he was appointed to Balmoral.[1]
Courthope was promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. on 16 October, 1917.[2]
He was invalided from command of the paddle minesweeper Ascot in March of 1918. His temporary commission was terminated, as he was unfit, on 13 April, 1918.[3]
He was granted free passage to Australia.[4]
