Raymond Horace Albany Dunn (5 March, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Dunn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 April, 1913.[1]
On 28 November 1914 he was appointed to the armed merchant cruiser Columbella. On 4 September 1915, Dunn was dismissed the ship and severely reprimanded for being found drunk on shore, Captain Arthur Bromley having noted him to be "somewhat addicted to intemperate habits." He was sent first to the battleship Albemarle, but on 6 November he was appointed to the armed merchant cruiser Himalaya.[2]
Dunn was cautioned to exercise greater care in future after Seagull's loss in a collision with S.S. Corribb in the Firth of Clyde on 30 September, 1918.[3]
On 16 October 1918, Dunn was appointed in command of the convoy sloop Convolvulus. On 14 April 1919, Dunn was reprimanded in connection with her grounding.[4]
Dunn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 April, 1921. He was removed from the list on 23 March, 1922.[5]
