Commander (retired) Nigel Campbell Brooks Cox, (13 June, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Cox's mother, L. Cox, was listed as his guardian when he joined the Navy in January, 1914. He emerged from the Training Establishment and was appointed to H.M.S. Courageous from 7 May 1917 to 29 January, 1919. He next served in the battlecruiser New Zealand until 22 March 1920.[1]
Cox was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1921.[2]
Cox was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1929.[3]
World War II
Having recently been appointed as King's Harbour Master, Wilhelmshaven, Cox was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 13 June, 1945 though he continued in his role.[4]
