Commander R.N.R. (retired) Francis Tweedie, D.S.C. (6 December, 1885 – 22 September, 1957) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Tweedie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 October, 1916.[1]
Tweedie was appointed in command of the destroyer Bullfinch from 30 April, 1918 through 31 January, 1919. He was demobilised on 6 March, 1919.[2]
Tweedie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 October, 1924.[3]
Tweedie was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 6 December, 1930.[4]
World War II
Tweedie was called up in Liverpool in November 1939.[5]
