Lieutenant-Commander R.N.V.R. Francis Vernon Wilson, (8 January, 1883 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Life & Career

Wilson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 November, 1916 and was appointed to the battleship Mars. On 5 February 1917 he was made her first officer. On 22 August he was made additional to the ship and charged with supervising dockyard accommodation.

On 20 February 1918, he was reported to have chronic nephritis at Queensferry Hospital. His name was removed from the list of R.N.V.R. officers on 15 Marach, as he was physically unfit. He returned to his address in Middlesex. At some point, possibly in 1946, he was promoted to Lieutenant-Commander R.N.V.R..[1]
