Commander R.N.R. Thomas Elliot Pitts, R.D., R.N.R. (6 June, 1885 – 22 July, 1930) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Pitt was appointed to the seaplane carrier Campania on 21 May 1915.[1]
Pitts was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 April, 1917. He left Campania on 31 May 1918 and spent some time at Devonport before being appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 89 in September, 1918.[2] He was demobilised on 26 May 1919.[3]
Pitts was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 April, 1925.[4]
Pitts was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 31 December, 1929.[5]
Pitts would die in a sailing accident in India.[6]
