Rear-Admiral (retired) John Fenwick Warton, C.M.G. (10 September, 1877 – 1 May, 1950) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Warton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1899.
Warton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 22 June, 1911.
Warton attended the Royal Naval War College from 8 September to 19 December, 1913, placing fourth of seven Commanders.
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1916.
Post-War
He was appointed command of the battleship Glory on 15 March, 1919.[1]
Warton took command of the ships of the Danube Flotilla on 12 March, 1920. Superseded 1 August, 1920.
Placed on the Retired List on 11 July, 1922.
