Captain Philip Sydney Smith, (25 February, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1920
Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1928.
Smith was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1934.
World War II
Appointed Captain of Minesweeping, Sheerness 1 March 1940, vice Hartford.
Smith was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1941.
1 October 1943 appointed in charge of Chatham Gunnery School.
