Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. Edwin Nixon, ( – 8 November, 1916) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Nixon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 January, 1915.[1]
On 9 am on a November morning (8th?) aboard Doncaster, Nixon shot himself dead. At any rate, he did die on the 8th. No witness could provide a motive. Uniquely, no mention is made of him being of "unsound mind". Were R.N.R. men somehow not deemed worthy of such analysis? At any rate, I applied this tag for the unfortunate man.[2]
