Captain (retired) Ernest Edward Lacy, C.B., R.N. (12 Aprl, 1865 – 1 April, 1946) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Southsea, Hants the son of Rear-Admiral Lacy.
Lacy was awrded the Egyptian Medal, 1882.
Lacy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1888.
Lacy was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1899.
In 1906, Emerald lost two boats, and the Admiralty expressed "surprise at lack of precaution" taken by Lacy in the event.
Lacy was placed on the Retitred List with the rank of Captain on 8 July, 1919.
Lacy would be awarded the American D.S.M., gazetted 12 December, 1919.
